Verisign is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer II to join our team. As a NOC Engineer II, you will be responsible for monitoring alarms, opening corresponding tickets, diagnosing, resolving, and documenting issues. You will also be expected to manage the change management queue, which involves complex planning and execution of network changes.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor alarms, open tickets, diagnose, resolve, and document issues in Verisign's production, QA, and development environments.
- Perform systems engineer tasks, including pulling logs, analyzing system-level applications, starting and stopping jobs, configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, or storage.
- Configure systems to provide networking services, including HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, NFS, SMB, SMTP, SSH, and NTP.
- Administer accounts, passwords, and permissions.
- Work with remote hands to repair failed hardware in both server and network gear.
- Examine customer requests, trace packets, plan routing and security changes, and implement approved changes.
- Troubleshoot static, aggregate, and generated routes, BGP and OSPF sessions, GRE and IPSec tunnels, VPNs, load balancer VIPs, router access-lists, and firewall rules.
- 2-year associate degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- CCNA or RHCSA certification is required.
