About the Role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team at Hearth Support Services, a leading NDIS Registered Provider. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants with community access and recreational activities, promoting social inclusion and engagement.
  • Provide personal care, including showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance, with a focus on dignity and respect.
  • Support participants with manual handling and/or the use of equipment to enhance mobility, such as wheelchairs or hoists.
  • Transport participants and facilitate social engagement, fostering meaningful relationships.
  • Contribute to light domestic duties, such as meal preparation and cleaning, to promote independence and well-being.
Requirements
  • Professional or lived experience supporting and/or caring for individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience using hoists, PEG feeding, or managing epilepsy, with a focus on safety and best practice.
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health and complex behaviors, with a commitment to person-centered support.
  • Flexible availability and a long-term commitment to Hearth Support Services.
Essential Criteria
  • A deep understanding of the disability and community services sector, with a focus on person-centered support.
  • Transferable life/work skills, combined with a caring and compassionate approach.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, with a focus on safe transportation.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • The legal right to work in Australia, with a focus on employment eligibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on effective collaboration.
  • A genuine interest in the well-being and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
