Account Director - FinTech PR

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead our FinTech PR team in Sydney. As a key member of our Corporate/Consumer PR team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans for our clients in the finance and fintech sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel to clients and establish key client relationships
  • Oversee and lead a wide variety of communications programs across multiple channels
  • Create plans, proposals, results reports, and other communications documents
  • Develop relationships in Financial Services, Tech, and other corporate industries
  • Manage a direct report and oversee a broader team of resources nationally
  • Provide counseling around corporate/finance pitches to our national dentsu teams
  • Organize, direct, and collaborate effectively across teams to achieve results

About You:

  • Have an innate understanding of what makes news and how to develop story angles
  • Be able to pitch ideas to the media effectively
  • Highly competent in a range of PR services, including storytelling, media relations, and data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of the media and ability to manage a media relations campaign
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Account Management or Exec role
