
Expert Account Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Account Director to join our team as a trusted adviser with a relentless focus on delivering value to our Public Sector customers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping our customers effectively engage with our solutions, making them stronger and seeking out opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will possess a strategic approach to selling and strive to meet/exceed revenue goals while always having their client's best interests in mind.
About the RoleThis role involves building relationships with multiple stakeholders across the customer's organization, shifting communication style and content to fit the needs of different stakeholders, and leading with solutions rather than products when making recommendations aligned with customer objectives.
- Research customers' business and prepare thoughtful questions and insights in advance of customer meetings.
- Ask layered, open-ended questions to understand and clarify customer objectives and challenges beyond surface-level detail.
- Build relationships with multiple stakeholders (vertically and horizontally) across the customer's organization.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and forecasting skills, with the ability to gather and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience.
- 6+ years of selling eLearning solutions.
- 8+ years of selling into Higher Education.
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience with selling into consortium and group buys within Higher Education.
- Experience with HR software.
- Experience with SaaS opportunities and Salesforce.com platform.
- Experience selling IT solutions.
You will succeed in this role if you have:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to gather and use data to inform decision-making.
- The ability to read prospective buyers and assess business opportunities.
- The ability to orchestrate the closure of business.
