We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Aboriginal Population Health Team as a Trainee.

About the Role

This three-year full-time position offers a unique opportunity for an Aboriginal person to develop their skills and knowledge in population health. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive training program, including part-time postgraduate study towards a Master of Public Health degree at a recognized NSW university.

The role involves completing various placements within the Public and Population Health Directorate (PPH), gaining hands-on experience in diverse public health settings. You will be provided with a culturally safe, connected, and empowering environment by the ISLHD Aboriginal Health and Workforce Directorate.

Upon completion of the program, you will be well-equipped to build a successful career in Aboriginal public health. Our district offers opportunities for career progression, professional development, and secondment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program, including part-time postgraduate study towards a Master of Public Health degree
  • Complete various placements within the Public and Population Health Directorate (PPH)
  • Develop skills and knowledge in population health
