We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Population Health Trainee. This unique opportunity will enable you to build skills in Aboriginal population health while contributing to better health outcomes in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a 3-year paid traineeship with hands-on placements, providing valuable experience and skills in Aboriginal population health.
  • Study part-time towards a Master of Public Health, equipping you with advanced knowledge and expertise in public health principles and practices.
  • Strengthen and support the Aboriginal health workforce, working closely with healthcare professionals and community leaders to improve health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement population health strategies, addressing the social, cultural, and health issues affecting Aboriginal people, families, and communities.
Requirements
  • You must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, bringing your unique perspective and cultural understanding to this role.
  • You should have sound knowledge of social, cultural, political, and health issues affecting Aboriginal people, families, and communities, ensuring you can provide effective support and guidance.
  • You need a minimum of three years' experience in health-related full-time equivalent employment, demonstrating your commitment and dedication to the field.
  • You must possess high-level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and communicate with stakeholders.
