Climate Change Specialist Opportunity

Holmesglen Institute, an education provider valued by local and international learners, industry, and the community, is seeking a Climate Change Subject Specialist to join its International TVET Institute consultancy program in Vanuatu.

The program aims to enhance skills development, expand infrastructure, and implement inclusive interventions for women and vulnerable groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop culturally appropriate learning materials tailored to specific needs.
  • Manage projects, deliver outcomes on time, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct outreach activities and strengthen the capacity of the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT) for climate-responsive training.

About You

  • Experience working in the Pacific region with an understanding of cultural nuances and adaptability to local environments.
  • A highly developed understanding of climate change issues across environmental, political, social, and policy aspects.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Minimum Diploma level qualification in climate change education with relevant experience.
  • Valid passport required for the position.
