Job Title: Climate Change Specialist

The role of Climate Change Specialist is a critical component of our organization's strategy to address the growing need for climate-related expertise. This position will be responsible for identifying and managing climate-related issues material to our business and customers, as well as helping shape our operating environment through engagement with civil society.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social and environmental policies that guide our lending to large companies, with a focus on climate.
  • Help develop Group-wide ESG policies, identify and interpret emerging social and environmental issues, and provide advice to senior management in this area.
  • Support specialist ESG disclosures focused on climate change, such as annual climate-related financial disclosures.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to think critically, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in policy areas affecting banking, business, and financial services.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to analyze complex issues using spectrum advice/thinking and understand wide-ranging needs and interests of key stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship and networking skills to engage internal and external stakeholders in Group-wide agenda and results delivery and communication.
  • Excellent strategic communication and positioning skills to digest, connect, and distil information into compelling propositions for internal and external stakeholders.
