The Climate Change Advisor will provide analysis and advice on climate change matters, including policy, risk management, emerging trends, and carbon offsets.
About the Role- Analyse and advise on climate change policy, risk management, emerging trends, and carbon offsets.
- Maintain climate change related benchmarking data and develop responses to policy consultation processes.
- Work across the business to maintain a single source of truth for climate change related data and information.
- Support the Head of Net Zero and Climate with evolving climate strategy due to new policies and trends.
- Develop and implement climate change risk management strategies.
- Monitor and review policy and other developments related to climate change.
- Prepare briefs and reports on potential business implications of climate change.
- Strong understanding of climate change, including policy, emissions, and decarbonisation.
- Tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in commerce, engineering, or climate science.
- At least 5 years' experience in climate change policy roles.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills with stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of climate change risk, carbon offset, and renewable electricity schemes.
- Candidates with experience in developing and implementing climate change strategies will be preferred.
- A strong understanding of sustainable development principles and their application to business is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
