We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented technical sales professional to join our team in Smithfield. As a Sales Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities within our existing customer base to further enhance our service delivery.

The key focus of this role is to assist our customers in working safely and efficiently through the delivery of the Konecranes Lifecycle Care approach to preventative maintenance. This requires developing service and providing technical solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Effective product positioning and technical sales solutions to assist customers achieve their highest lifecycle value of equipment
  • Timely creation of service and repair quotes for our customer base
  • Accurate management of CRM systems
  • Customer consultation regarding compliance requirements and asset improvement opportunities
  • Sales funnel management, forecasting, and reporting
  • Successful service and project handovers to the Service Operations Team
  • Collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure successful work package delivery
  • Meeting forecast targets through technical selling of products to meet customer expectations

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • A technical aptitude, with an academic qualification or trade qualification (electrical or mechanical) being beneficial but not essential
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a technical sales or similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Self-motivation to succeed in a competitive market, with the ability to demonstrate diligence and determination in maintaining forward progress with a full sales funnel
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A high degree of organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability working with various computer programs with accuracy
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum, a fully maintained company vehicle, and the opportunity to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan for your role.
