We are seeking professionals with a background in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy who are interested in working in the occupational rehabilitation sector and being part of our team on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, supported by a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. As an occupational rehabilitation consultant, you will provide services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Case management with manageable caseloads and support from rehabilitation assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
- Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Conducting assessments including initial assessments, worksite assessments & vocational assessments to support individuals in their return to health, work & life goals;
- Providing consultancy services for injury prevention and injury management such as group mental health training, employee assistance program services, psychological functional capacity evaluations, and adjustment to injury counseling services.
