Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in Occupational Therapy to join our team of healthcare specialists.

  • This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with the support of a strong team of healthcare professionals and global corporate infrastructure.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, this role provides broad and varied experience across occupational rehabilitation, supporting clients in returning to their original employment or exploring new vocational opportunities.

  • Key duties include case management, applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, and working with employers and employees to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Case management (caseloads are manageable, with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
  • Conducting assessments across Initial Assessments, Worksite Assessments & Vocational Assessments to support someone in their return to health, work & life goals
  • Providing relevant injury prevention and injury management consultancy services such as group mental health training, Employee Assistance Program services, Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations and Adjustment to Injury Counselling services
