A rehabilitation consultant plays a vital role in helping individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with clients, employers, medical professionals, and allied health experts to develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans.
This diverse role offers broad and varied experience across the spectrum of occupational rehabilitation, supporting clients in both returning to their original employment and exploring new vocational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Case management, working closely with rehabilitation assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
- Working across various schemes, such as workers' compensation, compulsory third-party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting individuals with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Conducting range of assessments, including initial, worksite, and vocational assessments, to support individuals in their return to health, work, and life goals;
- Providing relevant injury prevention and injury management consultancy services, such as group mental health training, employee assistance program services, psychological functional capacity evaluations, and adjustment to injury counseling services.
