Project Estimator Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of the construction industry and be able to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tendering for new builds, restorations, and conservation works
  • Preparing detailed estimates and project documentation for tenders and quotations
  • Analysing project labour, materials, and time requirements for accurate bidding
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, tradespeople, contractors, and suppliers
  • Submitting quotations and tenders by prescribed deadlines
  • Ensuring all quotation documents are accurately prepared using company-standard software and databases
  • Creating compelling tender submissions to demonstrate value
  • Monitoring project programmes and ensuring quality outcomes
  • Presenting project performance updates to senior management and clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial/public sector estimating and tendering
  • Strong technical and practical construction industry knowledge
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Proficiency in estimating and construction management software, including MS Office and MS Project
  • Degree or tertiary qualification in Building/Construction Management (desirable) or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and understanding of architectural design values
  • Strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Current Australian driver's license
  • Legal right to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
