About this Construction Estimation Role
This position involves tendering and overseeing various construction projects, including new builds, restorations, and conservation works.
Key responsibilities include attending tender briefings, preparing detailed estimates, analyzing project requirements, maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders, submitting quotations and tenders by prescribed deadlines, ensuring accurate preparation of quotation documents, creating compelling tender submissions to demonstrate value, monitoring project programmes and quality outcomes, and presenting project performance updates to senior management and clients.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial/public sector estimating and tendering.
- Strong technical and practical construction industry knowledge.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in estimating and construction management software, including MS Office and MS Project.
- Degree or tertiary qualification in Building/Construction Management (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of architectural design values.
- Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
