We're looking for a Senior Estimator with strong commercial or industrial building experience to establish and lead our new building estimating division.This is more than just another estimating role — it's a chance to take the reins, build systems from the ground up, and shape how the company prices building work moving forward.
You'll work directly with directors to target the right opportunities, develop internal tools, and eventually build out your team.What you'll doLead end-to-end estimating across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use building projectsBuild and manage estimates using Expert Estimation (Pronamics) or your preferred platformInterpret architectural and structural drawings, scopes, specs, and schedulesEngage with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to inform accurate pricingDevelop systems, templates, and pricing frameworks to streamline submissionsProvide input into tender strategy, risk assessments, and procurement plansCollaborate with construction and leadership teams to ensure smooth handover and cost controlMentor junior staff and play a key role in scaling the divisionWhat you bring5+ years in building estimating (commercial, industrial, or resource sector) in AustraliaStrong knowledge of construction methodology, codes, and local subcontractor marketSkilled in first-principles estimating, cost modelling, and risk reviewLeadership qualities – ability to work independently and grow a teamFamiliar with Expert Estimation, CostX, Buildsoft, or similarClear communicator with a sharp eye for detail and commercial outcomesPrevious experience building systems or departments is highly regardedWhy step into this role?
