About the Role

Dentons Australia is seeking a Paralegal to join our Sydney office on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of our growing Recovery and Restructuring practice and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of secured and unsecured recovery matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of files from start to finish;
  • Prepare and issue legal documents, including statutory notices and court documents;
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and maintain regular communications via a specialized online web-based portal;
  • Make outbound and inbound calls with defaulting customers, including liaising directly with customers in relation to sensitive financial matters;
  • Work with lawyers to progress matters through Courts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have superior drafting skills, and close attention to detail. They will be able to handle a large workload and maintain up-to-date records. A professional outlook and phone manner are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and deal with sensitive matters.
