The Project

UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract for Powerlink's CopperString 2032 project. This iconic $5 billion initiative will see approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line connecting Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national grid.

The project scope includes:

  • 500 kV transmission line from Townsville to Hughenden
  • 330 kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
  • 220 kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa, with six new substation sites

This exciting project starts construction in 2024, and we're looking for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join our team in Brisbane.

A Day in this Role

You'll ensure compliance with all Project HSSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. You'll also guarantee compliance with Project Procurement, Contract, and Commercial policies for delivery of procurement services and outcomes.

You'll support and maintain procurement registers and systems, provide assistance and guidance to UGL staff on commercial and contract administration matters, and put plans and procedures in place to address commercial issues and ensure contract compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • E nsuring timely submissions, notices, and other contractual obligations
  • Assisting in dispute resolution, in conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Legal personnel
  • Preparing subcontract terms and conditions for Project Managers, in accordance with UGL's contractual strategies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Contracts Administration management or a similar position
  • Experience with various contract remuneration models (lump sum, schedule of rates, cost reimbursable)
  • Strong communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders

About the Opportunity

This is a full-time opportunity based in Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs, Australia-QLD. The estimated salary range for this role is AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
