This is a teaching-focused position at The University of Queensland, requiring a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of these positions is to engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and further development of the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Additionally, the holder of the position will contribute to teaching and learning leadership in the school and undertake work in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and/or research in an area aligned with the school's disciplines.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning/Research: Maintain an active record of producing quality research or scholarship of teaching outputs consistent with discipline norms, collaborate on teaching and research projects, and utilize best practice teaching and assessment methodologies.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
