The University of Queensland is seeking a Mathematics or Statistics Expert to join our School of Mathematics and Physics.
Job Description:- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess student performance, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, and provide performance feedback.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships internal and external to the university, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
- Teaching: Develop learning materials and assessment tasks, use effective teaching and learning approaches, coordinate courses, and participate in other student activities.
- Research: Establish a national profile in research in the discipline area, contribute to the transfer of knowledge, and participate in high-profile conferences.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Effectively supervise Honours, Masters, and Higher Degree by Research students, develop their capabilities and skills, and facilitate engagement opportunities.
- Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate achievement and initiative in internal service roles, contribute to external activities, and build and maintain education collaborations.
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field such as mathematics or statistics.
- An established profile of contributions towards a range of teaching responsibilities for Level C (Senior Lecturer).
- National recognition and a developing international profile in research in the discipline area for Level C (Senior Lecturer).
