Senior Financial Accountant Role Overview

We are partnering with a multinational business to find a Senior Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting strategic growth by preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Responsible for lease accounting, inventory accounting, and maintenance of fixed asset registers.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Daily bank reconciliation, including posting of customer receipts and overall bank transactions posting.
  • Assist and support the inter-company accounting function, including inter-company recharging and month-end reconciliation.
  • Facilitate and complete statutory audit and annual tax filing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Australian and US accounting standards.
  • Strong prior experience at a similar level preferably with a global organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
