A Senior Accounting Professional is sought by a leading manufacturing and distribution business to join their Sydney-based team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic financial guidance to internal stakeholders while maintaining accurate records for external compliance purposes.

  • Oversee month-end closing activities and processes ensuring seamless reporting.\
  • Manage financial data entry, validation, and upload in line with corporate timelines.\
  • Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations.\
  • Support the preparation of local unit budgets and forecasts.\
  • Provide expert accounting support for day-to-day operations.\
  • Liaise with local authorities for tax compliance and regulatory requirements.\
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on audits and statutory compliance.\
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters.\
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement change.\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\
  • Drive continuous learning and professional development to enhance technical expertise.\
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence through active participation in team initiatives and knowledge sharing.\

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of success in senior accounting roles.\
  • Expertise in accounting systems, Excel, and experience with OneStream or Anaplan an advantage.\
  • Strong understanding of Australian GAAP and IFRS regulations.\
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\
  • High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.\
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments highly regarded.
