This position plays a key role in teaching, research, and community engagement within the Social Work discipline at the University of Wollongong.
As a Social Work Practice Skills Educator, you will be responsible for teaching and coordinating social work practice skills subjects, incorporating evidence-based pedagogy and methods, including flexible delivery, simulation, and inclusive practices.
You will also contribute to developing social work research and teaching programs by collaborating on research projects with academic colleagues, community, and industry partners.
This includes creating curricula that meet TEQSA and professional accreditation standards, fostering effective partnerships with the community, social work professionals, government and non-government agencies, and facilitating productive collaborations across the university with academic colleagues and research institutes.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and coordinate social work practice skills subjects
- Contribute to developing social work research and teaching programs
- Collaborate on research projects with academic colleagues, community, and industry partners
- Create curricula that meet TEQSA and professional accreditation standards
- Foster effective partnerships with the community, social work professionals, government and non-government agencies
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in social work, excellent teaching and research skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.
You will also need to have a strong understanding of the social work discipline and the ability to develop and implement curricula that meet TEQSA and professional accreditation standards.
Additionally, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
