Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist, who will be working closely with the Manager, Infrastructure to develop and implement infrastructure capital and maintenance programs and projects.

This role will involve supporting the development of asset management plans & asset registers, program budgets, campus master plans and project plans, aimed at ensuring state owned TAFE campuses are contemporary and fit for purpose.

The Senior Infrastructure Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Infrastructure.
- This is a 4 month contract:

- Brisbane CBD location

Key Responsibilities

  • Support capital and maintenance program delivery by developing and coordinating financial and business processes including transaction processing, project and funding reconciliations, project closure and asset capture reporting.
  • Play a lead role in developing, implementing, maintaining and reviewing asset lifecycle condition assessments, including supporting the Manager, Infrastructure and key internal stakeholders to maintain workplace, health and safety and disaster management planning processes.
  • Support the development and delivery of specific programs of work associated with the upgrade, renewal and compliance of the state-wide training infrastructure.
  • Manage and report on current and emerging program risks including risks associated with the level of legislative compliance of the state-wide training infrastructure.
  • Prepare high quality written documentation including senior executive briefings, government submissions and proposals that satisfy program governance reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to providing sustainable social infrastructure solutions through the development, coordination and review of funding submissions and master planning activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with the team, key stakeholders and service providers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • A high-level of understanding, or the ability to rapidly acquire a thorough knowledge of contemporary Asset Management/Facilities Management practices.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, and contribute positively to a team environment, demonstrating highly developed communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage complex projects (preferably in a building/facilities infrastructure context) that have achieved positive results and outcomes.
