Job Title: Nursing and Midwifery Technical SpecialistJob Description:

Uni SC seeks a motivated individual to support the delivery of technical services in simulation and clinical teaching spaces. This role is crucial in creating a safe, realistic, and engaging environment for students as they develop midwifery practice skills.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and facilitate high-fidelity simulated learning for students across nursing and midwifery disciplines. They will instruct in the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities and oversee technology operation to ensure safe and effective use.

This opportunity requires adaptability and service excellence, with a focus on facilitating seamless operations and helping students thrive in a high-quality learning setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Midwifery degree with experience in providing broad range of clinical activities in support of teaching in a health-related discipline.
  • Alternative combination of relevant knowledge, training, and experience considered, provided experience as a midwife is essential.
  • Demonstrated commitment to utilizing simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines, and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services, including health and safety requirements.
  • Experience in performing, documenting, and implementing outcomes of risk assessments.
