The Academic Support Unit at the University of the Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated individual to support midwifery academic programs through simulation-based learning.
This role involves providing technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, facilitating high-fidelity simulated learning for students across nursing and midwifery disciplines, and instructing in the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent experience, a demonstrated commitment to utilizing simulation methodology in learning, and the ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines, and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Provide technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Facilitate high-fidelity simulated learning for students across nursing and midwifery disciplines.
- Instruct in the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities.
- Oversee the operation of technology to ensure safe and effective use of equipment.
- Train and supervise casual team members when required.
