The Governance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the governance function, ensuring its effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation in accordance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate high-level support to the Board of Directors; ensure the smooth operations of Board affairs and assist with the preparation and distribution of agendas, reports, and minutes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and other guidelines relevant to the corporate governance function.
- Provide guidance and support to all business units on corporate governance principles, including conflicts of interest, gifts, benefits, and hospitality.
Additionally, the Governance Coordinator will provide leadership and support in the training and development of staff in corporate governance principles and procedures.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles and practices.
