Corporate Governance Expert

This is a key role with our organisation, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

Reporting to the Head of Governance, your primary responsibilities will include acting as a corporate governance expert, advising the Board on governance and compliance matters, and supporting the Board in meeting their obligations.

  • Providing expert advice on corporate governance principles;
  • Ensuring overseas regulatory requirements are met;
  • Reviewing and drafting policies and governing documents;
  • Lodging ASIC documents and other reporting obligations;
  • Managing reporting portals and administering the Constitution;

Key qualifications and experience required:

  • Relevant tertiary degree;
  • Member of the AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors);
  • At least 5 years of corporate governance/secretarial experience in a complex group;
  • In-depth knowledge of the Corporations Act and Corporate Governance Principles;
  • Experience with unlisted entities, trusts, and ASFL requirements;
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and drafting skills;
  • Highly developed communication skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Approachable manner with a proactive approach.
