The mission of our team is to enable Macquarie to operate safely within a challenging digital environment. We work together as cyber threat defence analysts, cyber threat intelligence analysts, detection engineers, and incident responders to stay ahead of advanced cyber threats. As a Senior Security Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in understanding how our teams work and translating that into automation and orchestration workflows, providing our teams with deeper understanding of the threat landscape.

You will also need experience working with global agile teams, leading junior engineers, and fully automated build processes and CI/CD workflows. Your passion for solving cyber security challenges through automation is essential.

A strong understanding of Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) platforms, particularly Swimlane or Splunk SOAR, is required. Exposure to Amazon AWS and Kubernetes is also preferred. Excellent listening and influencing skills, along with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships between complex stakeholders, are necessary for this role.

Up to 20 weeks paid parental leave, paid volunteer leave, and donation matching are also available.

As a global company, we are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply for a role regardless of their identity. If you require adjustments to your working arrangements or the recruitment process, please let us know when applying.
