About the Role

The Cyber Threat Intelligence team at Westpac plays a crucial part in the company's Information Security Group, providing tactical, operational, and strategic threat intelligence to support business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing sophisticated adversarial threats and campaigns that may pose a risk to Westpac and its stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Producing clear and concise analytic products on cyber threats, including situation reports and analyst reports
  • Identifying, analyzing, and delivering short-turnaround assessments on emerging cyber threat issues
  • Providing briefs or presentations on cyber threat actors
  • Maintaining situational awareness of contemporary and developing threats in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Collaborating with other teams across the Information Security Group

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of intelligence analysis and/or cyber security analysis roles
  • Foundational technical background and understanding of incident response
  • Good written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Sound research, critical thinking, and analysis skills (with formal training a bonus)
  • Awareness of major cyber threats in the global landscape
  • Interest in cyber security or technology, and a drive to research and learn
