Westpac's Cyber Threat Intelligence team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to join our Detection & Response section. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing tactical, operational, and strategic threat intelligence to support our business.

We are looking for a professional with exceptional analytic judgement, critical thinking, and communication skills who can operate in an often fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for producing clear and concise analytic products on cyber threats, identifying emerging issues, and maintaining situational awareness of contemporary and developing threats in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality threat reports and analyst notes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate threat intelligence
  • Collaborate with other teams across the Information Security Group to drive business outcomes
  • Contribute to industry or government cyber security initiatives to stay ahead of emerging threats

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong background in intelligence analysis and/or cyber security analysis, as well as foundational technical knowledge and understanding of incident response. Your excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and analytically will serve you well in this role.
