About the Role

Empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals is at the core of our Supported Independent Living team. We seek experienced Disability Support Workers to join us in Kellyville, where they will play a vital role in ensuring meaningful community engagement for the people we support.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative, and positive attitude.

The successful applicant will be required to work a 24/7 roster, including regular shift work, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct care to clients
  • Performing activities such as personal care, respite, transportation, cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar
  • Extensive experience in providing direct care to people with complex needs
  • Understanding of Person-Centred plans, Behaviour Support plans, and Health Care plans
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clients
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills
  • Possession of a NSW Driver's License
  • Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to work a variety of shifts
