Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freight Delivery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of general freight containers to local customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Focus: Driving the commitment to Linfox Safety Standards at all times, and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus.
  • Loading and Unloading: Completing correct load restraints and manual handling techniques.
  • Maintenance and Vehicle Checks: Conducting pre-trip vehicle checks, reporting issues, and maintaining compliance with road safety and transport regulations.
  • Coupling and Uncoupling: Adhering to Linfox coupling and uncoupling procedures, ensuring safe handling of equipment.
  • Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service, representing Linfox professionally.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: Demonstrating strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation.
Requirements:
  • Current HR License: Must hold a current and valid HR license.
  • Safe Work Practices: History of safe work practices & responsible manual handling experience.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience working across container, tautliner and/or refrigerated freight.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with Mackay, QLD metropolitan areas.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive Attitude: Proactive approach and positive attitude.
