About the Role:We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team as a specialist in payroll processing, compliance, and administration. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within a large-scale payroll system, with excellent knowledge of Australian salary packaging, taxation, and superannuation laws.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff salaries, benefits, and allowances, as well as providing high-quality support to employees and management on all payroll-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Payroll processing, including salary calculations, leave entitlements, and superannuation contributions.
- Compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work Act and tax regulations.
- Accurate and timely payment of staff salaries, benefits, and allowances.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and management on all payroll-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll integration.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in payroll processing and compliance, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with payroll software such as Ascender.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
