This key role supports the Payroll Operations team within the People & Culture Directorate. The successful candidate will possess strong computer skills and experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong understanding of salary, superannuation, taxation, salary sacrifice, salary packaging and best practice is essential for this position.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to plan, set priorities and meet deadlines, are required.
- Proven attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be highly valued.
- Previous experience working within a large Human Resource and Payroll operating system is advantageous.
- Strong financial literacy and the ability to interpret and analyse payroll data are crucial.
As a Payroll Officer/Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements (EA) and legislation, as well as providing quality customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
