Case Manager

The Benevolent Society is seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our Family and Child Connect team. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable families and children in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of family strengths and needs, identifying areas of concern and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to help families achieve their goals.
- Provide information and advice to families based on their individual circumstances.
- Assess safety and manage child protection risks for families.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the community, including government agencies, service providers, and other relevant parties.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and related tasks.
- A relevant tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
- A minimum of 12 months case work or case management experience working with at risk children, young people, and/or families in a child protection focused role.
- Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities, including drug and alcohol use, domestic violence, mental health issues, and the impact of trauma on child behavior and development.
- Strong organisation skills, time management skills, IT skills, and ability to use technology in service delivery.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised and remotely.
- High level of professional accountability and integrity.
