Student success and retention are key objectives for any educational institution. To achieve these goals, effective leadership and management are crucial. This role involves overseeing the Intervention Team function to provide consistent and high-quality support for students at risk of not meeting course progress requirements.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a leadership or management role within student services, case management, or academic support. They must also have a strong understanding of course progress monitoring, intervention requirements, and compliance obligations in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of Student Progress Officers to deliver high-quality case management and student support
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor outcomes, and provide coaching feedback and professional development opportunities
  • Manage workload allocation, ensuring balanced caseloads and timely follow-up of student matters
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies and processes to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support a coordinated approach to student success

Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing reports on intervention activity, student outcomes, and compliance metrics. They will also use data insights to inform decision-making and drive improvements in intervention strategies.

Requirements:
  • Proven leadership or management experience in student services, case management, or academic support
  • Strong understanding of course progress monitoring, intervention requirements, and compliance obligations in the education sector
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
