About the role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our Shepparton team, working part-time with our community care team.

  • As a Support Worker, you will support people with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and assistance in the community.
  • You will also support clients with personal care, assistance with mobility, and prompting with medication.
  • Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
  • Promote customer choice, positive routines, and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer.

We have clients living at home in Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, and surrounding suburbs.

We will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.

What you will bring

Ideally, you will have some experience in the health sector, but if not, we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right 'can-do' attitude.

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability, or Individual Support (essential).
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable motor vehicle.
  • Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smartphones, email, and internet.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
