About the Opportunity

Wellways Australia Limited is seeking a skilled Recovery Worker to join our team in a rewarding role that makes a real difference in the lives of our participants. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a crucial part of the recovery journey in our residential programs, working closely with individuals and their clinical care teams.

You will lead a variety of engaging groups and activities, offering vital operational support and contributing to innovative solutions that enhance our programs. Your work will not only impact the quality of our services but also the wellbeing of those we serve.

We are looking for a new team member to join us at our Specialist Residential Rehabilitation Program (SRRP) and Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) programs with availability to work according to a rotating roster of weekday, weekend and sleepover shifts. Sleepover shifts commence at 7pm in the evening where you're active on shift until 12am midnight then active again from 8am to 9am the next day. Penalty rates will apply for relevant hours worked.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience working in a support role for people with a mental health challenge
  • Demonstrated experience and/or transferable skills & knowledge in working with people with a serious mental health challenge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work within Australia
  • Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
