Job Overview

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager. Your key responsibilities include completing monthly and fortnightly payrolls, processing online leave applications, change requests, superannuation, workcover and salary packaging items. You will also ensure all payroll systems are up to date, payroll adjustments are appropriately authorised and recorded. In addition, you will complete month end and year end close processes, analyse and check all payroll information is accurate, and ensure controls are in place and completed to reduce and/or minimise risk.

The Successful Candidate

We are seeking experienced payroll candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience with payroll operations (end-to-end processing), a broad understanding of payroll functions, procedures and processes, the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, and experience with iChris / Chris 21 will be looked on favourably but is not a prerequisite. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work in a team.
