Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated, innovative & proactive individual to join our team on a casual basis. This role will assist participants and school leavers to achieve their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) through one-to-one servicing with a focus towards building capacity towards employment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build professional relationships with participants at differing stages in their employment journey
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to assist them with reaching their goals of finding and sustaining employment
  • Create individual support plans and 12-week plans that outline the participants' journey towards finding and keeping a job
  • Create opportunities that enable individuals to reach their own potential as valued members of their community in line with their NDIS goals, inclusive of work experience activities
  • Facilitate individual and group activities using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence-building
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency
  • Maintain data integrity and efficiently manage workload, prioritising tasks and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames
About You:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for an individual who has the following:

  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • To be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviours
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or willing to obtain prior to start
  • A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants who live with disability, delivering a service that enables them to build their capacity and work toward meeting their employment goals
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities
  • High level of customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills
