Rehabilitation Counsellor Role

At our organization, we strive to provide exceptional support and services to individuals recovering from workplace injuries. As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will play a vital role in guiding clients through their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain confidence and independence.

The Role:
  • Manage complex physical and psychological injury cases, providing health coaching, career coaching, and return-to-work support.
  • Conduct vocational assessments both in-person and virtually.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with employers and stakeholders.
  • Utilize award-winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on returning to work, including identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to relevant parties.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology.
  • Be eligible for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA.
  • Have experience working in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector (preferably).
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and consultation abilities.
  • Display a result-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Possess well-developed research skills and ability to prepare, collate, and organize data for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to follow administrative procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Hold a current Australian driver's license and have access to own vehicle.
  • Undergo police clearance and working with children check.
