Rehabilitation Consultant Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing rehabilitation services to injured workers and promoting their return to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' physical and emotional limitations, and create targeted strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and employers to ensure seamless coordination of care and facilitate successful return-to-work initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Proven experience working in rehabilitation settings, preferably with a focus on workplace injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
