Lead Injury Recovery Specialist

This role presents a unique opportunity for an allied health professional to utilize their existing clinical skills and knowledge in a compensable injury recovery setting.

  • Collaborate with the claims team leader and technical advisor to create a high-performing team that delivers positive outcomes for injured individuals and drives value for shareholders.
  • Provide expert written and verbal advice to claims advisors on suitable treatment and rehabilitation services, as well as recommendations for future rehabilitation management.
  • Ensure consistent injury management expertise by providing ongoing quality decisions and input into claims strategy.
  • Share knowledge and mentor claims advisors to develop injury management capabilities.
  • Establish relationships with top-tier treatment providers to facilitate injured individuals' recovery goals.

Requirements:

  • A degree in an allied health-related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable.
  • Experience within the workers compensation scheme is highly desirable.
  • The ability to effectively manage caseloads using technology platforms.
  • Proficiency in managing complex conversations with injured individuals, external health professionals, and legal professionals.
