Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Bosch Rexroth. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support to our customers and driving sales growth within your allocated region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales support to customers, including pre and post-sales advice and assistance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including design consultants, end users, and OEMs.
  • Meet sales targets and develop annual budgets with the HD Manager.
  • Manage direct sales channels for Hägglunds components and drive systems.
  • Calculate customer quotations, negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and engineering system designs.
  • Analyze sales and cost data.
  • Prepare sales and marketing reports for stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support material for other sales team members.
  • Support marketing activities, including attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate Hägglunds products and solutions.
  • Manage projects with the sales team and technical experts.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical competence and knowledge.
  • Develop regional sales and formulate customer solutions related to Large Hydraulic Drives.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial quotations.
  • Produce forecasts on market sales, growth, and profit.
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies.
  • Provide customer support and management.
  • Assist the Service and Quality teams on quality, warranty, and customer care issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum Cert III Fitter and Machinist Trade Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in Hydraulic Engineering or Production or Service.
  • Customer-focused and proficient in PC and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Willing to travel regularly to various locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
