Job DescriptionPurpose of the Role:
- As a key point of contact, provide pre and post-sales technical advice and support to clients, liaising regularly with other sales team members and colleagues from various departments.
- Accountable for achieving sales targets and growing product/system sales within their allocated region.
- Ensure company operating and cost efficiencies, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop new customers.
- Meet sales targets and develop annual budgets with the HD Manager.
- Establish and manage strong long-term relationships with key and target customers, including design consultants, end-users, and OEMs.
- Manage direct sales channels for Hägglunds components and drive systems.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and engineering system designs to allow for production.
- Analyze costs and sales.
- Prepare sales and marketing reports for various stakeholders.
- Provide training and produce support material for other sales team members.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Make technical presentations and demonstrate how Hägglunds products and solutions meet customer needs.
- Manage projects alongside the sales team and other technical experts.
- Develop and establish a high level of technical competence and knowledge applicable to our products, applications, and control systems.
- Develop regional sales and formulate customer solutions related to large hydraulic drives (Hägglunds products), while promoting other Bosch Rexroth products and services.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial quotations.
- Produce forecasts on market sales, growth, and profit.
- Develop and recommend pricing strategies based on strategic and competitive considerations.
- Customer support and management.
- Assist the Service and Quality teams on quality, warranty, and/or customer care issues.
- Travel to customer locations to provide face-to-face contact.
- Willing to travel regularly to various locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
- Minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in a similar role.
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum Cert III Fitter and Machinist Trade Certificate or equivalent from a similar trade (i.e., Plant Mechanic).
- Experience in Hydraulic Engineering/Production or Service.
