Job Description

The Role: As a Team Leader, you will guide and coordinate a team of Therapeutic Case Managers and Case Managers in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC). You will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services across various domains.

Key responsibilities include providing operational leadership, supporting staff, and offering guidance and feedback to ensure quality service delivery and permanency outcomes for children, young people, and families. The role also involves maintaining team procedures to ensure compliance with funding agreements and professional standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, community services, teaching, nursing, psychology, family therapy, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience, ideally supported by vocational training
  • Experience delivering quality assessment and case management services to at-risk families or children and young people in OOHC
  • Understanding and application of contemporary case management practice, including cultural planning and positive behaviour support
  • Knowledge and experience working within trauma-informed, evidence-based frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to lead robust conversations
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations in child protection and adoption
