Key Responsibilities

The APS 6 Capability Team Leader will be responsible for managing a diverse range of in-service capabilities, including the Special Forces Block Scale.

Key Requirements
  • Develop and maintain a well-developed understanding of Defence policy requirements, government decision-making, Special Operations Command's mission, and Army's sustainment processes.
  • Conduct specialist research and analysis, conduct assessments, perform procedural and clerical support work.
  • Provide advice and guidance to others on SOCOMD product sustainment and logistic activities and tasks.
  • Communicate sustainment requirements through detailed written documents and oral presentations for higher delegate consideration.
  • Represent the organisation at forums as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Be able to work in an operationally focused, high tempo organisation with the ability to independently prioritise, assign and evaluate workloads.
  • Have experience in managing teams in the delivery of sustainment support for SOCOMD assets, the application of sound decision-making and problem solving skills as well as judgement to provide policy advice.
  • Have knowledge of the Army Block Scale system including the ability to navigate Defence's logistics information systems.
  • Be a clear and concise communicator with the ability to effectively engage and support executives, staff and external stakeholders at all levels.
About the Role

This role will support the management and sustainment of in-service capabilities enabling units to achieve directed tasks.
