Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our organization. As a key member of the legal team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance on commercial contracts, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements, and supporting various projects across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with non-legal stakeholders. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including procurement, services, construction, and technology agreements.

You will also support the business on complex commercial transactions and projects, advise on contract risk, obligations, and structuring, and contribute to compliance initiatives and corporate governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts;

  • Maintain and improve internal templates, policies, and legal resources.
Requirements:
  • Admitted as a solicitor in Australia;
  • 4–7 years PQE in commercial law, ideally with experience in contract negotiation and transactional work;
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, or technology contracts will be highly regarded;
  • In-house experience is desirable but not essential;
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work closely with non-legal stakeholders;
  • Proactive, solution-focused and confident managing competing priorities.
