Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel for Commercial Property

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial property documentation, including agreements for construction projects.

  • Advise on land acquisitions, sales, divestments, and transactions related to commercial properties.

  • Support leasing matters, including drafting and finalizing agreements for commercial and industrial properties.

  • Manage due diligence processes, including coordination of data rooms and Q&A sessions.

  • Prepare and maintain precedents, templates, and confidentiality agreements in line with risk parameters.

  • Collaborate with business teams to find solutions that balance legal risks and commercial objectives.

  • Liaise with external legal advisers to ensure effective project management.

About You:

  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in law, preferably in a property-focused role.

  • Experience in leasing, acquisitions, and large-scale property transactions is essential.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.

  • Excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Australia-based qualification and current practising certificate are mandatory.
